Pretty solid pizza experience. Good pizza. Decent prices. I wasn’t blown away by the standard cheese pizza, but the mushroom & onion pizza was very good. The Greek salad said Kalamata olives. And what we got was standard black olives, that was disappointing. Other than that, decent experience.

The pizza was pretty decent, especially for the good prices. It was my first time trying pizza from Delaware. I still prefer The Dough Roller though. The service at Grottos was okay, but we wouldn't see our waiter for long periods of time (more than 15 minutes). I think the fastest service was being seated and getting the check, but we're on the boardwalk. So, of course service is going to be a little delayed depending on how many tables they have to take care of. The bathrooms were very dirty (wet sand smeared all over the floor, full trash, and dirty toilet seats and counters). I think it was from the people coming in and basically bathing in the sink. I wasn't going to use the bathroom here, but it was taking so long and being pregnant, I couldn't really hold it. So, that was one of the reasons I gave 3 stars instead of 5 other than barely seeing or waiter. The wings were pretty good too. It was only $19 per pizza and it was very hot so it tasted pretty good. I love the crispy thin crust too.

We go here every year and always have a really nice time. My dad introduced my husband to this restaurant, and we really enjoy coming to any grotto pizza location. This is a staple for r vacation every year and will continue to be. We had very good service, and the food was delicious. The prices are very reasonable so if you are looking for a cheap meal for a bunch of people, then I definitely recommend it. They have lots of other options besides just pizza. If you are interested in something else. They have a kid's menu also that is very affordable. I would definitely recommend checking them out when in vacation.
