DESCRIPTION:Gouache – sometimes referred to as opaque watercolor\, starts
  out\nsimilarly to watercolor. The pigment ratio in gouache is usually muc
 h\ngreater than in watercolor and solid white pigment are incorporated.\nT
 hese factors give gouache a much heavier texture and higher opacity\nthan 
 watercolor alone.\nBut if you feel more comfortable painting in Acrylic th
 at is fine too.\n\nStudents will learn to practice shape\, color\, form an
 d composition\nusing gouache paints (opaque watercolor) with various subje
 ct matter.\nIn each class\, we will also focus on different styles which w
 ill\nevolve from abstract through impressionism to superrealism.\n\nBring 
 your own supplies (gouache paints\, paper\, brushes\, heavy card\nstock or
  Bristol board replaces canvas\, for Acrylic Painting bring\nAcrylic color
 s\, canvas\, brushes\, paper towels\, etc.)\, or rent a kit\nfrom the inst
 ructor for a fee of $15.\nPlease let us know ahead of the class that you w
